After working as a bookseller at Square Books in Oxford, Mississippi, and seeing how good technology could help small businesses thrive, I taught myself to code and focused on building tools that actually solve problems.
I've spent years working with educational institutions, research organizations, and nonprofits to build applications that replace confusing, outdated systems with simple, effective solutions. At DataMade in Chicago, I led projects like public health tracking systems, government transparency tools, and data analysis platforms for researchers and journalists.
Most recently, I created Bookhead, a complete e-commerce and inventory management platform for independent bookstores. This SaaS platform helps bookstores sell online, manage inventory across multiple channels, and compete with larger retailers while maintaining their unique character. Bookhead serves independent bookstores across the country who want to thrive in the digital age.
